🧪 Ingredients & Measurements

  • 1 cup rice water (fermented or freshly made)
  • ¼ cup aloe vera gel (fresh or pure bottled)
  • 1 tbsp coconut milk (optional for extra moisture)
  • 5 drops peppermint essential oil (optional for scalp stimulation)
  • 5 drops rosemary essential oil (optional for growth boost)

🍃 How to Make It

Step 1 — Make Rice Water

  1. Rinse ½ cup of rice.
  2. Add 1–2 cups of water and let sit 30 minutes.
  3. Strain out the rice.
  4. Optional: Let the rice water ferment for 24–48 hours to enhance nutrient content.

Step 2 — Mix the Wash

  1. In a bottle, combine rice water + aloe gel.
  2. Add coconut milk (optional).
  3. Add essential oils.
  4. Shake very well to blend.

 How to Use It

As a Hair Wash

  1. Wet your hair thoroughly.
  2. Pour the mixture onto the scalp and hair in sections.
  3. Massage gently for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Leave on for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Best Used

  • 1–2 times per week
  • Follow with a lightweight conditioner if desired—this wash is already very moisturizing.

 Shelf Life & Storage

  • Fridge: 5–7 days
  • Freezer: Up to 1 month (freeze in ice cubes)
  • Do not store at room temperature — rice water can spoil quickly.
