Clove Tea

Clove Tea

Ingredients

  • 4–6 whole cloves (or ¼ teaspoon ground cloves)
  • 1 cup water
  • Optional add-ins: honey, lemon, cinnamon, ginger, black tea bag

🍵 Basic Clove Tea (Whole Cloves)

  1. Boil the water. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Add cloves. Drop in 4–6 whole cloves.
  3. Simmer. Reduce the heat and let it gently simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Strain. Remove the cloves to avoid bitterness.
  5. Sweeten or flavor. Add honey or lemon if you like.
  6. Sip warm. Enjoy it while it’s hot and fragrant.

☕ Variation: Clove Tea With Black Tea

  1. Follow the basic steps above.
  2. After simmering the cloves, turn off the heat and add 1 black tea bag for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Strain and sweeten.

🌱 Variation: Clove + Ginger Tea

  1. Add a few slices of fresh ginger along with the cloves.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain and enjoy a spicier, more soothing cup.

Tips

  • Whole cloves give a cleaner flavor than ground.
  • Too much simmering can make the tea strong or slightly numbing — adjust to taste.
  • Add milk if you prefer a chai-like profile.
