SOOTHING ECZEMA BATH SOAK (Oatmeal & Aloe)

Ingredients (1 Bath)

  • Colloidal oatmeal – 1 cup
    (or finely blended plain oats)
  • Baking soda – ½ cup
  • Pure aloe vera gel – 2–3 tablespoons
  • Optional additions (choose ONE only):
    • Dead Sea salt – ¼ cup (for adults only)
    • Chamomile tea – 1 cup (strongly brewed & cooled)

 Skip essential oils in bath soaks if eczema is active or skin is broken.

How to Prepare

  1. Grind oats into an excellent powder (essential to avoid irritation).
  2. Fill the bathtub with lukewarm water (not hot).
  3. Sprinkle oatmeal and baking soda under running water to ensure even dispersion.
  4. Add aloe vera gel, then gently stir the water with your hand.
  5. Add chamomile tea or salt if using.

 How to Use

  • Soak for 10–15 minutes only
  • Keep affected areas fully submerged
  • Do not scrub the skin
  • Pat skin dry gently (do not rub)
  • Apply a thick moisturizer or balm within 3 minutes after bathing

Best frequency:
✔ 2–3 times per week
✔ Daily during severe flare-ups (short soaks only)

  • Aloe vera:
