🧊 Shelf Life / Fridge Life

Refrigerated:

  • Best quality: 3–4 days
  • Maximum: up to 5 days when stored in an airtight container at ≤4°C / 40°F

Why this pudding store well?

  • Dates are dried fruit, which last longer than fresh fruit
  • Almond milk and chia seeds are very stable
  • No fresh or acidic ingredients mixed into the base

Best storage tips:

  • Chop dates finely so they distribute evenly and don’t clump
  • Store without almond slices; add them just before serving to keep them crunchy
  • Stir well before refrigerating so the chia seeds hydrate evenly
  • Stir again before eating to refresh the texture
  • Keep tightly sealed to prevent absorbing fridge odors

Discard if you notice:

  • Sour or fermented smell
  • Excess liquid with bubbles
  • Off or bitter taste
  • Any visible mold
