CAYENNE + GINGER TONIC / TEA

Ingredients & Measurements (1 serving)

Fresh version (best):

  • Fresh ginger: 1-inch piece, sliced or grated
  • Cayenne pepper: ⅛ tsp (start smaller if sensitive)
  • Water: 1½–2 cups
  • Optional add-ins (highly recommended):
    • Raw honey: 1 tsp
    • Lemon juice: 1–2 tsp

Powdered ginger option:

  • Ground ginger: ½ tsp
  • Cayenne pepper: ⅛ tsp

How to Prepare

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add ginger (fresh or ground).
  3. Simmer 10–15 minutes (longer = stronger + more heat).
  4. Remove from heat, strain if using fresh ginger.
  5. Stir in cayenne, honey, and lemon.
  6. Sip slowly while warm.

 For a cold or pain flare-up, make it stronger and drink it hot.

  • Keeps 3–4 days
  • Reheat gently (don’t microwave if possible)

 Don’t store at room temp overnight — ginger ferments fast.

Usage Tips (Important!)

  • Start low on cayenne (a pinch!) and build up
  • Always dilute — never take cayenne dry
  • Drink slowly, not like a shot
  • If you have ulcers, severe reflux, or are pregnant → use very mild amounts

 Upgrade idea: add a pinch of turmeric + black pepper for extra anti-inflammatory power.
